A key milestone for SMB

Post AVG acquisition, our new Avast Business portfolio brings the best of both companies together to protect our customers

As we approach the one year anniversary of our acquisition of AVG, we are thrilled to announce another key milestone in integrating the two companies—a new product portfolio designed to deliver security and peace of mind to our business customers.

Avast has a global cybersecurity team operating out of North America and EMEA that has integrated the best of AVG Business with the best of Avast for Business to create a comprehensive and complete set of cybersecurity solutions and services under one brand name—Avast Business.

Avast has been serving the needs of SMBs as well as our business channel partners (managed service providers (MSPs), distributors, and resellers), for decades.  We have worked with business owners and IT professionals, responding to the cybersecurity challenges they face every day. We know SMBs can lack the resources of larger companies, therefore finding themselves more vulnerable to security threats. Cybercrime is reaching new heights every day, malware is reaching new levels of devious complexity, and a more proactive, advanced defense is required. At the same time, SMBs need their security to be easily scalable and straightforward to manage.

Merging the Avast and AVG product sets and consolidating the partner portals and billing systems already in place were equal parts challenging and gratifying. And the team achieved this in record time.  Fueled by our commitment to our business customers and partner community, the goal was clear: to take security services to the next level and make it easier to do business with us.

I’m happy to say that today we’re more powerful together. Our large, scalable, AI-based threat detection network is the largest in the world, allowing us to block threats to businesses before they can do any harm. For example, our advanced technologies enabled us to protect our over 400 million customers from the WannaCry attack earlier this year. Our security engine offers the most comprehensive protection to date against cybercrime, utilizing next-gen tools to identify and stop malware events in real time. We are fully committed to our channel partners and to protecting our business customers, an important part of our overall company mission of protecting the world online.
