Avast CTO Michal Pechoucek previews this year's CyberSec&AI Connected event and discusses the state of cybersecurity in the new normal

Michal Pechoucek, Avast’s Chief Technical Officer, is one of the chief architects behind CyberSec&AI Connected (happening Thursday, October 8), which brings together expert speakers and delegates from academia and industry to share their research and debate the key topics at the intersection of AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity.

During the podcast, Michal talks about the event's impressive speaker lineup, which includes Garry Kasparov (Avast’s Security Ambassador and Chess Grandmaster) and Roger Dingledine (co-founder of the Tor Project), as well as the event’s technical workshops and the value of virtual communities in a time where global travel is restricted and opportunities for tech professionals and academics to collaborate are curtailed.

Michal also talks about the new paradigm shift in technology that comes with the rise in remote working, in particular, referring to the cybersecurity implications of so many people logging in from new locations outside the traditional workplace and creating new accounts as they do. You can listen to the interview in the above embedded link or, if you prefer, can listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
