The first ever Mobile World Congress Americas event happens September 12-14, and you’re invited.
Thousands of enterprise IT stakeholders, industry professionals, and tech-curious consumers will gather in San Francisco at the Moscone Center next week for the first Mobile World Congress Americas (MWCA) event. There will be over 1,000 exhibitors from around the globe, with over 30,000 attendees and 200 press/media outlets expected to attend. The focus of the event is to demonstrate what is happening in the world of mobile tech, and how it will shape (and in our case, secure) the future.
Mobile World Congress is an event created by the mobile leadership organization GSMA. MWCs have grown to be among the most important events in the mobile industry worldwide, and are traditionally held in Barcelona and Shanghai every year. Avast has attended the last four years in Barcelona, but we are especially excited to be part of the event’s debut right here in our own backyard.
Key themes of next week’s event include the Internet of Things (IoT), innovation in 5G and next-gen networks, and the intersection of mobile with entertainment, content, and media. Entire industries are transforming to capitalize on today’s mobile industry. New levels of productivity and efficiency are evolving in multiple sectors as mobile connections continue to have a positive impact on billions of users around the world.
Come by and see us at the Avast booth—N.658 in the North Hall. You can catch some of the innovative demonstrations we have lined up, including:
Open Wi-Fi Experiment - You may have thought you were safe on open Wi-Fi networks, but this experiment will open your eyes to how vulnerable you may be on public networks at hotels, airports, and your local coffee shop. Catch it during our on-the-hour demonstrations at our booth.
IoT Hacks - Join us on our IoT stage and witness how easily IoT devices can be hacked.
Virtual Reality Threat Detection Simulation - Immerse yourself into the world of big data and learn more about different ways to detect and stop threats.
IoT Security Panel Discussion - Our own SVP and GM of Mobile, Gagan Singh, joins a panel with other leaders in the field to delve into topics such as our connected lives, privacy, and why IoT security is a mobile problem. Learn from the experts at 3pm on September 13th at Moscone South, Esplanade Level, Auditorium 3.
We look forward to seeing you next week at MWCA!
