In the cloud identity – can we protect it?

Last few years can be called a “social networking era”. Just remember the rise ups (and depressions) of, etc. These networks are now completely shadowed by FaceBook and Twitter. Even when myspace and similar networks are not that widespread today, they were at the beginning of all. It becomes more and more usual to identify a real ego with social network profile. That’s not too dangerous in its basis, but there’s a big problem – people completely loose a sense for their privacy on internet. This is not an attitude against social networks, it’s only a thought about dangerous habits appearing with the social networking phenomenon. The risk is not the existence of social networks, the risk is how people behave there.

New free AV comparative test: and the winner is…

I usually don’t bother writing about individual AV tests and how great we did here and there, but this time I’ll make an exception. Malekal Morte, a very well-known (and influential) security person (tester/blogger/expert) from France recently performed a test of all leading free antivirus software products, and I’m very delighted to say that avast 5 was selected as a winner of the test. avast! Free Antivirus can be downloaded for free from our servers or from other download servers such as, and others.  But why limit yourself to avast! Free Antivirus if there are other products available with additional functionality that can be downloaded for free?
